     K. LaTourrette has been a resident of Santa Fe, NM since 1991.  She grew up in Albuquerque, NM and has lived in the southwest most of her life.  She graduated from New Mexico State University and earned a masters degree from Troy State University.  Her biography appeared in 'Who's Who of American Women'.      

     K is a member of the Santa Fe Society of Artists and a signature member of the New Mexico Watercolor Society.  Several of her paintings were juried for exhibit in Master Works of New Mexico shows and New Mexico Watercolor Society Shows, where she won awards.  Her paintings have been exhibited in galleries in: Santa Fe, Taos and Albuquerque, NM; California; and Virginia. Her paintings can be found in numerous private collections.

      "My love of the southwest - its tri-cultures, architecture and artifacts - strongly influences my work.  It is this uniqueness I want to capture in my watercolors.    

     

      I strive for an emotion through design and color.  I believe a painting should have a spark that communicates with the viewer - a feeling - a glimpse of the past - even deja vu."
